P6 ACHIEVE Lil' but Mighty Student
We first learnt about Lil’ but Mighty from our children. They happened to chance upon their online tips and found them very helpful. We decided to sign Caitlin up for both the tuition class and the online course “Grammar Grandma Bites”. Having gone through the online course with Caitlin, we can appreciate the amount of thought and effort that have been put into the planning and structuring of the content and presentation. We too have benefitted greatly from the course. Like all parents who would like to support their children in their learning journey and revision, we found that the course has provided us with a helpful framework and enough strategies to reinforce the key points learnt in school and during tuition. We highly recommend that parents and students go through the online course together.

I have been following the L’ll But Mighty English blog for over a year and found the tips useful in my revisions with Daniel. However, I just couldn’t help Daniel to pull his grades up. When we finally sent Daniel to the centre at the end of his P5 school year, he was only barely passing English with marks hovering at the 60-plus mark. Today, English is Daniel’s best subject and he scored an A for his PSLE - truly nothing short of a miracle.

We are extremely grateful to the teachers for their hard work and excellent methodology in teaching the kids. Daniel has always enjoyed the lessons and he says that no one can explain the difficulties of the language like she can. In his words: “Mrs Chew really understands us and she explains things in such a simple way that we just ‘get it’!”

At Lil’ but Mighty, my child was able to refine her skills for the various components of English. We especially like how the grammar rules are clearly explained and this allowed my child to apply the necessary strategies for the respective question types. As I watch my child gain more clarity and achieve her personal best in the subject to date, I look forward to more growth in her upcoming journey with Lil’ but Mighty.

Lil' but Mighty P6 Testimonial
Shaun came to Lil But Mighty at the beginning of Primary 5. He enjoyed going for class because he finds the lesson fun and interactive. The class size is not too big and thus interaction among students and teacher is great. Shaun especially likes the ClassDojo point giving system as he can exchange for gifts! He also commented that Lil But Mighty worksheets and notes are well-organised and easy to understand.
Lastly, I would like to thank the Lil’ but Mighty team for being acccomodating when I request for make-up lesson and being helpful in answering my queries. Overall, Shaun definitely has a memorable and enriching lessons for the past two years. Thank you Lil’ but Mighty!

Lil’ but Mighty’s blog posts on how to tackle the PSLE methodically caught my attention in 2014, when I was preparing my eldest daughter’s PSLE. The Situational Writing tips were outstanding. I subsequently used their blog posts to prepare both my elder children’s PSLE in 2015 and 2016.

My youngest child enrolled in Lil’ but Mighty’s P3 English tuition in early 2017. The pedagogy of Lil’ but Mighty is targeted towards helping children overcome common mistakes, teaching useful Paper 2 examination strategies, and broad- brush polishing of Paper 1 (oral and composition) techniques.

The tuition classes at Lil’ but Mighty helped my child achieve superior 2017 P3 results at Nan Hua Primary School. I am very thankful towards Lil’ but Mighty and would highly recommend this as a supplement towards learning, and particularly, in tackling the demands of the PSLE. Classes are engaging too. My child enjoyed it very much. Many thanks to the Lil’ but Mighty Team.

Lil' but Mighty P4 BUILD PROGRAMME Review
Lil’ but Mighty not only prepares my kids for exams but also makes learning of the English language fun. They always look forward to classes and asking for make up classes!
The methods taught to write a flavourful composition and the systemic approach to tackling comprehension have equipped my girls with the skill and given them confidence. Their vocabulary have been expanding and this has aid them in many aspects, not just the ability to do well in the subject but the love for the language has grown too.

Lil' but Mighty ADAPT PROGRAMME review
Jayden joined Lil But Mighty’s P5 ADAPT PROGRAMME in September 2017. Within 8 lessons, he managed to improve his scores from mid 50s in SA1 to mid 70s for SA2. As a result, he was awarded for showing the best improvement in English Language in his cohort.

We knew all these would not have been possible without the guidance and patience of Lil but Mighty teacher - Miss Delia Siow. A message would be sent to me after each lesson to keep me informed what was taught, assignments, what was Jayden’s common mistakes and the grammar rules to take note. All these helped us a lot when we were preparing him for SA2.

For any kids still struggling to master the English language, I would highly recommend Lil but Mighty. Their cozy and small class size helps the kids to focus and interact better with the teachers. Jayden enjoyed very much with the class as he is not afraid to raise questions and learn from his mistakes.

I would like to thank the teachers and staff for their dedication and learning program. English language should be taught in a fun way and those blog materials were very helpful too. To those whom are still trying to find a good fit for their child, do give Lil but Mighty a try.

Lil' but Mighty Primary 6 student
Allyson had a wonderful learning journey with Lil’ but Mighty in P6. Allyson’s weaknesses were in grammar, Synthesis and Transformation and oral. English could be a dry subject for many but Mrs Chew has made her classes very enjoyable. The professionalism shown by the team was evident the preparation done each week for the lessons. Allyson came out of each class learning something new and developed a deeper appreciation of the intricacies of the language. The class size with the low student-to-teacher ratio was just right to allow for good interactions and attention. Ally was comfortable raising questions and clarifying on topics that she doesn’t understand. In the short 8 months that she’s been Lil’ but Mighty, her understanding of grammar has improved by leaps and bounds. The techniques taught by Mrs Chew for the Synthesis and Transformation portion of Paper 1 was really helpful for her to ace this section. We are also very appreciative of Mrs Chew going above and beyond the call of duty to help Allyson with her English oral. She was able to have a number of practice sessions with Mrs Chew to work on the weaker aspects of this component. Mrs Chew and the Lil’ but Mighty team also offer many useful tips for improving English and ways of sustaining interest in the language through their online platform. The strong English foundation that Allyson built in P6 is still holding her in good stead in Secondary 1 where she is still consistently getting As and we have Mrs Chew to thank for this!

P5 ADAPT PROGRAMME Testimonial
As Ashton progressed to Primary 5, it was hard to ignore that English language is not an easy subject to master. Ashton enrolled in Mrs Chew’s class in the beginning of 2018. He enjoys the classes and remembers the techniques that Mrs Chew imparts. Mrs Chew used interesting terms which cast lasting memories for the children and the classes are conducted in an engaging manner. The centre is very receptive to parents’ feedback and their teaching materials embeds recent news articles which stirs interest for the children. Mrs Chew’s is a passionate teacher whom goes the extra mile to coach the kids by pointing out their weaknesses and encourages them in their learning journey. “True education comes from the passion in learning” I trust LBM can ignite the passion in English language.
— Sabrina, parent of Ashton, Radin Mas Primary School (P5 ADAPT PROGRAMME)

Gladys looks forward to her lessons at Lil’ but Mighty as the lessons are very interactive and she is able to learn through fun and quizzes. Most importantly, she is able to apply what was taught. With the small class size, she can clarify her doubts quickly with the teacher whenever she encounters difficulties. The techniques taught like iDoT and TAPS are certainly valuable as they help Gladys to tackle examination questions in the most efficient and effective way. I also like the emphasis on vocabulary and good phrases especially through some of the spelling exercises which allow Gladys to remember and use them in her composition writing. I am keen to see Gladys continue her growth at Lil’ but Mighty.
