Gearing students toward achieving their personal best

Our P6 programme gears children toward achieving their personal best in the final hurdle. With consistent practice in all key components and focus placed on grasping the vital question types tested, children will see themselves gaining mastery of the language skills and content required for the PSLE.

Equipping your P6 child with essential skills

Strategies and skills in all parts of the language paper including writing and oral will be consolidated and strengthened for each individual child. Other language skills for Paper 2 such as the identification of keywords, breaking down of passage, recognising the various questions types and checking of answers will continue to be reinforced. To boost the Lil’ ones’ vocabulary, children will also have regular spelling on commonly misspelled words and quizzes based on phrasal verbs, and vital vocabulary including figurative language sourced from past year examination questions.

Authentic sources of learning used in our Primary 6 classroom

Connecting language use in the classroom to the world does not stop at the P6 level. In fact, children will enjoy the refreshing activities infused to help them see purpose in their learning through our Mighty Communicators™ Initiative. Authentic sources of learning are tapped on at this level to help children consider the issues of intention and perspective behind a text as well as how they, as an audience surrounded by these messages, ought to practise discretion while processing information.

Our Teachers

It takes a village to raise and grow a child. At Lil' but Mighty, every child is capable of growth and the best part is that as teachers, we have the opportunity to do so with the children. Our teachers at Lil' but Mighty believe that every child is unique and building positive relationships with the children and parents opens up opportunities for learning.

Experienced and Nurturing

Equipped with rich and relevant teaching experience, our nurturing yet dynamic teachers are always coming up with new and engaging strategies in teaching English. All teachers at Lil' but Mighty gather weekly to discuss and design materials that best tailor to children's learning needs. Alignment across the curriculum and different classes is ensured through the weekly reflection sessions.

Growing with your Primary 6 children

Learning is a never-ending process and this applies to our teachers too. To provide innovative ways of learning and to be kept abreast of the latest pedagogy in teaching, all teachers are required to attend English workshops and share the learning thereafter. We hope that as we hunger to learn, we will inspire our children to do so too.
